Indochina Trip (Siem Reap-Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh)


Assalamualaikum.

It’s been awhile but some of my friends request me to share my itinerary during my Indochina trip (Siem Reap-Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh). So here is my itinerary and expenses for 6 days and 5 nights that I’m able to recall. Hopefully it can be a good reference for people who want to travel there :)


Angkor Wat, Siem Reap


ITINERARY

Day 1: KL- Siem Reap (3/5/15, Sunday) 

0650 Depart from KLIA 2

0750 Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport 

0900 Check in at Hotel Blossoming Romduol Lodge

1100 War Museum 

1300 Lunch & Solat

1500 Cambodian Cultural Village 

1830 Dinner and Rest


Day 2: Siem Reap (4/5/2015, Monday)

0510 Solat Subuh

0600 Depart to Angkot Wat to watch Sunrise by Tuk Tuk

0630 Arrive at Angkor Wat and visit all places nearby Angkor Wat such as Angkor Thom Bayon, Baphuan, etc.

1530 Lunch & Solat

1630 Depart to Tonle Sap 

1700 Arive at Tonle Sap and watch Sunset

2000 Rest & Solat

2100 Angkor Night Market 

2300 Dinner and Rest


Day 3: Phnom Penh (5/5/2015, Tuesday)

0800 Depart from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh 

1400 Arrive at Phnom Penh, Check in at Rachana Hostel & Solat

1600 Killing Field (Cheong Ek)

1900 Wat Phnom 

2000 Dinner & Rest


Day 4: Phnom Penh- Ho Chi Minh City (6/5/2015, Wednesday)

1030 Royal Palace, Independence Monument (Too bad that the Royal Palace closed on that day, so we took picture at outside only T.T) 

1300 Lunch & Solat

1530 Depart to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)

2100 Arrive HCMC and check in at hotel (Hong Vinh Hotel)

2200 Ben Thanh Night Market (Dinner at Hajah Basiroh)

0000 Rest


Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City (7/5/2015, Thursday)

0900 Mekong Trip (One day trip)

1800 Heading back to Hotel

2000 Dinner, Ben Thanh Night Market , Taka Plaza

2200 Rest


Day 6: Ho Chi Minh (8/5/2015, Friday)

0900 Shopping again and again at Ben Thanh Market. Hiks! (Inside the building- More choice for  cotton fabric compared to Ben Thanh Night Market)

1200 Check out

1325 Depart to KLIA 2

1615 Arrive at MALAYSIA

USD 19. It's much cheaper if u buy return ticket.

USD 33 -its quite expensive actually since the price is only for 1 day

Hotel in Phnom Penh (Rachana Hostel)

Cotton Fabric for 'Baju Kurung' at Ben Thanh Market
MYR 20 each ( I spend a lot here, hahaha) I pay in VND act but I can't remember the exact VND amount.

Ready made 'Baju Kurung'
MYR 28 each (Im actually regret that I only buy 1 pc. I should buy more)

Deuter Bag
I manage to buy 1 cause its so cheapppp in Ben Thanh Night Market but sadly I can't remember the price. Sorry

Souvenier (Fridge Magnet)
USD 1 each (Maybe laa)
One things that I know its cheap. Yeah everything is cheap! Hahaha.

Food
Sorry I can't remember how much I spent money on food but I can suggest which food that you should try during your trip. Maybe in my next entry. Maybe. Hehe 

Check In Baggage (20 - 25 kg)
USD20 (I guess heheh)
Do expect to pay on this fee if you went to Ben Thanh Market hehehe.
